As a Coach, I don't assume to know what you need- 10x growth, scaling, expanding. I can help you do all of that, but I start by asking thought-provoking questions and let you dictate your goals, not me.
I also won't tell you what to do. Your actions (and non-actions) are always your choice, and you hold yourself accountable to you (not me). This approach leads to empowerment (not codependency) because one day, I want you to operate confidently, without my support.
Lastly, I don't step over the underlying issues you mention, but want to ignore, even if they're personal. Your business success is directly related to your life experience, so it's important to work on whatever is holding you back, so you can move forward.
Our conversations will allow you time and space to process and decide what's the next best step for you.

I owned, operated and sold a high-end floral design & event production company. Out of necessity, I became an operations expert and transformed my business into a profitable, well-oiled machine.
I sold my floral business at the height of success, because I wanted to help other creative business owners make the kind of change that restores their energy, reignites their passion, and allows them to do the work they love. Out of my passion for growth, change & transformation, I became a coach and launched The Roots Group.
In my first year, I worked with a high-end design/build/remodel company. I helped them streamline business operations and improve their leadership & communication skills. After our work together, their revenue doubled.
Creating a program to help that business was easy for me. Operationally-speaking, I realized there's similarities in creative, design-based industries that work with their clients over a longer term engagement period, giving me confidence to share my expertise and support creatives who design events, environments and experiences.

My goal as a Coach is simple: to be really, really good at coaching, for the benefit of my clients.
For these reasons, I have earned Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentials from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). "Anyone can call themselves a Coach, but the ICF-credentialed coaches are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession." -ICF

the long story, told short...
Hello Hello! I’m Debby Jewesson.
I'm a super fun Gal, but when it comes to business and life, I'm super serious about them both running smoothly and efficiently, with purpose and meaning.
In 2016, I had a high 6 figure revenue business, on the verge of my first million-dollar year. I was also on the verge of calling it quits, like 80% of small business owners do within the first 5 years.
I had taken the leap into entrepreneurship with a talent, passion, and a whole lotta drive, but I didn’t know how to own and operate a business. I didn’t have any formal training that would prepare me for the reality of owning a business and the toll it would take on my personal life.
When it came to operating a business- I didn’t know what I didn’t know.
Determined not to be a statistic, I hired a Coach and first, turned things around in my personal life.
Then, I made a commitment to educate myself on all the things business operations, and then implemented what made sense for me- the simple and effective stuff. Business got easier, and as a result, life got even better!
I’m happy to say that I’ve been on the other side of struggle since 2018, enjoying a smoother ride in business and life. I sold that big ole business in 2023 and now fill my days doing work that doesn’t feel like work.
Beyond my professional life, you'll find me globe-trotting with my husband, creating hand-crafted ceramics, hunting for vintage treasures and natural gems or courageously attempting to master the French language.

- BEAUTY: the awe of nature and natural products, spectacular interior spaces, rich color, intricate textures and patterns

- SIMPLICITY: less is more, quality over quantity (not much else to say, which goes along with my value for simplicity)
- TRANSFORMATION: growth, change, transforming something raw and unfinished to create something better, something exceptional! (which not only aligns with the careers I've had over the years, but also my hobbies!)
THE FUN FACTS
- CERAMICS: I've been taking classes since 2019! I have a studio and kiln at my house . I wish I could play with clay all day.
- QUILTING: My other hobby- quilting! After my Mom passed, I inherited loads of supplies and fabric. It's a beautiful way for me to honor her memory.
- I CUSS LIKE A SAILOR: Here's the deal- I don't drink. I don't smoke. So my vice is cussing. The good news is- I do know when to turn it off and be a sophisticated, classy Gal.
- HARRY POTTER: I'm a huge fan. HUGE. Every Christmas break, we have a HP marathon and re-watch all the movies. Makes me giddy happy!
- PE TEACHER: Yep, this was my first professional job out of college. For those who know my personality, it's no surprise.
- MY NEXT LIFE: I'd like to be a singer and dancer on Broadway. or Comedian. or News Broadcaster. or work on a film set.
I also love acronyms, am obsessed with creating new systems (for everything), love eating my dinner while watching TV with my husband while imagining how I would conduct Life Coaching conversations with characters on the shows, like Chef Carmey from The Bear (or Rich, he's becoming more self-aware by the episode).
